1. Who we are
90+ is a trading name of Rich Business Consultancy Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17030629), with its registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ (“we”, “us”, “our”).
We are the data controller for personal data we collect through the 90+ app and website. If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, contact us at hello@train90plus.co.uk.
2. What we collect
- Account data - email address, display name, password (stored hashed), avatar, friend code, and profile settings such as gender, playing level and your preferred units.
- Session data - the workouts you generate, save and complete, including position, intensity profile, interval breakdown and results.
- Performance data - when you use Live Mode, GPS location is used only on your device to calculate distance and speed. We store the resulting metrics (distance, top speed, time at each intensity), not the raw GPS trail. From these we derive your 90+ Score and the four pillar scores (Stamina, Work Rate, Recovery, Determination).
- Training plan data - your chosen focus area, benchmark results and the sessions and targets generated for your eight-week plan.
- Social and squad data - friends and friend requests, squad membership, Group 90+ and Matchday participation, monthly challenge entries, leaderboard positions, badges and personal bests.
- Technique videos - if you use technique analysis, the clip you upload is stored so it can be scored, and the resulting feedback is saved to your account. You can delete an attempt and its clip at any time.
- Health app data - on iOS and Apple Watch, with your permission we write completed workouts to Apple Health and read workout data back so your training appears alongside your other activity. Apple Health data stays on your device and in your iCloud account; we do not copy your wider health record onto our servers.
- Billing data - in the iOS app, payments are processed by Apple In-App Purchase; we receive a subscription status from Apple but do not see your payment card details. For subscriptions purchased through our payment processor we receive a customer ID, subscription status and the last four digits of your card (never the full number). If you arrive through a partner or referral link we record that referral against your subscription.
- Technical data - IP address, device type, cookies and basic analytics needed to keep the service running and secure. See section 11 for cookies.
3. Squads, coaches and data added by someone else
90+ can be used by clubs and teams. When a head coach sets up a squad they may add details about a player, such as the player’s email address or name, in order to invite them and manage a seat on the club’s membership. That means some of the data we hold about you may have been provided by your coach or club rather than directly by you.
- What the coach can add - the email address and name used to invite a player, squad membership, and training plans or focus areas assigned to that player.
- What the coach can see - once a player joins the squad, the head coach can see that player’s 90+ Score, pillar scores, session history summary, training plan progress and squad leaderboard position. Coaches cannot see your password, billing details, private messages or activity outside the squad.
- Who is responsible - the club or coach decides who to add to their squad and is responsible for having a proper basis for sharing those details with us. We use coach-supplied details only to create and manage the account, run the squad membership and show the training data described above. We do not use them for marketing.
- Leaving a squad - if you are removed from a squad, or the squad ends, the coach loses access to your training data. Your own account and history stay with you.
- If you were added without being asked - contact us and we will tell you what we hold, correct it, or delete it.
4. How we use it
We use your data to:
- Provide the 90+ app, your account, your workout history and your training plan.
- Run squads, friends, group sessions, challenges and leaderboards.
- Process payments and manage your subscription and any referral discount.
- Send essential service emails (sign-in links, receipts, important changes).
- Improve the product and keep it secure.
- Comply with our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not profile you for anything other than producing your own training scores and plan.
5. Legal basis (UK GDPR)
We rely on contract to deliver the service you or your club sign up for, legitimate interests to keep the service safe, run squads and improve the product, legal obligation for things like tax and accounting records, and consent for optional things such as non-essential cookies, location and Apple Health access, and any marketing communications. You can withdraw consent at any time.
6. Who we share data with
We use a small number of trusted providers to run 90+: cloud hosting and database, our payment processor, Apple In-App Purchase (for iOS subscriptions), transactional email, and an AI provider used to score technique clips and generate written training guidance. They process data on our behalf under written contracts and only for the purposes set out above.
Within the app, some information is visible to other people by design: your display name, avatar and scores appear to friends you accept, to members of a squad you join, to participants in a Group 90+ or Matchday session you take part in, and on challenge leaderboards you enter. Anything you choose to share with a public link (such as a result or badge share card) is visible to anyone with that link.
7. International transfers
Some of our providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, transfers are protected by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or equivalent safeguards.
8. How long we keep data
We keep account, session and plan data for as long as your account is active. Technique clips are kept until you delete the attempt. If you delete your account we will delete or anonymise your data within 30 days, except where we are required to keep records (for example billing records, which we keep for 6 years to meet UK tax law). Squad invitations that are never accepted are removed once they expire.
9. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete or port your personal data, and to object to or restrict processing. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@train90plus.co.uk. A parent, guardian or the player themselves can make a request about a young player’s data. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
10. Young players
90+ is available to players aged 13 and over, in line with our Terms of Service. We know teams include young players, and squads may be set up by a club or coach on their behalf.
- Where a player is under 18, we expect the club, coach or parent adding them to have the parent or guardian’s agreement first.
- We only use a young player’s details to run their account, their training data and their squad membership. We do not send them marketing.
- We keep the amount of information collected to the minimum needed to run the account: we do not ask young players for an address, phone number or date of birth beyond confirming they meet the minimum age.
- A parent, guardian, coach or the player can ask us to show, correct or delete the data we hold at any time, and we will act on it.
- We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe we have, tell us and we will delete it.
11. Cookies
We use cookies that are strictly necessary to sign you in and keep the site secure, and, if you accept them, a cookie that remembers whether you arrived through a partner or referral link so any discount is applied correctly at checkout. You can accept or decline the non-essential cookie from the banner, and change your mind by clearing your browser storage for this site.
12. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes we will tell you by email or in-app before they take effect.
